Slowly but surely…

I am feeling good about my music lately. I am working on some songs with a friend of mine that I have written, but never completed. They are sounding amazing. I am pretty stoked about it all, really. I recorded a few of them and hope to post them on here soon. So, it feels that there is a lot of potential to start a new band (and I hope it does), but I am going to keep focused on getting as much done writing wise with my friend first, and then seek out to complete a line up. I would seriously do ANYTHING, (with exception of anything that I wouldn’t do), to start a band… ANYTHING (that I would do)… Seriously. I mean it.

Possibilities…

So I jammed with a guy last night about some concepts for starting a band and what came out of it was amazing. Even being the first jam session, the possibilities were quickly forming.  Instead of clashing, our styles seemed to merge seamlessly. Here’s to hoping that something progresses from it.

Meanwhile, Kim and I are off to Fort Myers to see some of our closest friends and have a mini vacation… Sweet.

So… Yeah.

Where to go from here? I am really starting to realize that as you get older, friends slowly start to become “someone you know really well” or in some cases “someone I used to know”.  Sometimes I wonder if its me that only feels like that, but then again there’s no telling. I don’t think that you are supposed to admit to this kind of stuff,  but screw it, WHO reads this stuff anyways? lol.

I want a damn band. I don’t care if we tour, get popular, or “make it”. I just want to hang out, record, play shows, and drink beer with buddies.  The biggest problem is all of my buddies live really freaking far away.  The bottom line is that I think that I am starting to loose my musical drive… for real, though. How about I turn in my Marshall and Les Paul in for some 19″ Wheels for my Jetta?…*SLAP*

I need a band.

Go Gators!

Congrats to the UF Gators in their BCS Championship Title. I know Kim is happy :) The Gators looked like a team out there last night, and not a bunch of guys running around Tebow. It was a great game. I’m not saying that the Sooners played bad or anything, but they sure were not better that the Gators!

!Acoustica!

I added the song “All of this Time” to my blogsite (and my myspace for that matter). I am pretty proud of this song, as it is recorded really well. It’s soft and slow and authentic and fits right in with what Forever New does, so there we have it. Forever New recorded somthing professional. Nice. I want more.
