Hells, yeah. Rock and Roll prevails. Hopefully the industry will let him be who he is. Bon Jovi of the 2000’s, baby.
By 12 million votes? Wow. I thought for sure the “kid” had it. Hell, the Giants took the Patriot’s Glory in Jan. Maybe 2008 is the year for upsets! Lets do this thing. How about the Redskins come out swingin’, Brand New comes out with another album, and I finally find a band…
So I went to an audition for a band last night and did allright…. At Least I thought I did, lol. They invited me back for a second audition, so be on the look out. I’ll say who the band is after my second audition. They are pretty freaking bad ass… wish me luck!
So tonight I just about finished up on some vocal tracks for an acoustic song. It’s a song I recorded with my friend Tim at his apartment. I wrote the song forever ago, but finally started putting it all together when Tim and I were jamming. I’ll have a “ruff mix’ real soon, and I’ll put it up here. I have to say though, I believe that it is my best vocal work to date. That’s all I have to say about that.
Last night I finally laid down a Bass track that I think goes along with my latest track. I wanted something out of the ordinary, but I decided not to push it any further and let the natural playing take over. I’m satisfied. Maybe I’ll add some nasty effects to it later.
Upon finishing this next track, I’ll be adding a media player to my Webpage in order to share it. I plan to release it as soon as I feel that I have a complete “collection”. I know that the rest of the world is just dying to hear it, lol. ProjektKhamelion will be different from everything else, I promise.
PS. I think that David Cook should win Idol…. I’m just sayin’.
So last week I went to Story of the Year’s show in dowtown Orlando, and it was amazing. The social is a small club, so therefore anytime one of my island bands (bands that I could be stranded on a deserted island with) plays, it’s kind of a big deal. Their show is just as much power packed as always, or really even more now.
After the show my friends TJ, Dave, and I ran into them in BBQ bar. We had some really good informative “record industry” conversations and lots and lots and lots of drinks. (Too much for TJ. Just ask my Jetta) The night went on through a million Beers and half a million Shots (1 car bomb too many) and landed us @ 2:00am…Closing time Dan, SOTY frontman, invited us to hang out, so duh we went.
We ended up playing pool (Phil and TJ won), skating (Dan showed us up), and drinking more beer. Great times. Thanks, SOTY! You guys showed this old man a damn good time.
