I decided to record my most recent song so I can hear it back. And, I like to share:) This song is called “What is this? A Center for Ants?” I am super stoked on the lyrics and the sound of it all when my friend Chad plays drums over it. It gives me that Jimmy/Clarity feel. Now I feel special:)
Ok, I wish that I had more to post about, but sadly…
So Sean and I are looking for a drummer who can help round out our sound. We currently have two songs put together fairly well, and are waiting for someone else’s perspective. We auditioned a bassist who really seemed to know his instrument well, so that’s a plus. I am interested in what he has in store for the writing/recording process. We’ll have to wait and see.
The stuff we are doing is pretty good, and really original sounding to me. Without a drummer, it is hard to say. Drummers are really hard to come by, and good ones are even more so.
I am stupid excited about the return of Blink 182 and the rumors of them playing Warped Tour slightly revives my non-existent desire to go back to those types of festivals. (I really enjoy small venues)
PS. Limb Bizkit? Wes Boreland? Really? I’m down.
What a boring Superbowl. I only call it boring because of the horrible officiating towards the end of the game. I say no touchdown, and for sure no fumble. Not that I was really pulling for either team to win, I just wanted some overtime so that I could enjoy another beer before going to bed to prepare for returning back to the routine of the Monday through Friday week.
Not too much progress on the new band was made this weekend, so maybe I can make up for it this week. Maybe record some vocals for an acoustic song to put up here on the site.
HollywoodFireHabit was at work this weekend to a track and made some progress. This EP is going to be nice. Just wait and see. (Like you have a choice or something, right) ;)
Houston Calls responded to an email of mine this week about their upcoming show here in Orlando. That was really cool. When I told them I was bringing my daughter they seemed to endorse the idea. (Just don’t be all cussin’ and smoking and talking about getting shottyfaced and layed, allright guys?) LOL
I added the song “All of this Time” to my blogsite (and my myspace for that matter). I am pretty proud of this song, as it is recorded really well. It’s soft and slow and authentic and fits right in with what Forever New does, so there we have it. Forever New recorded somthing professional. Nice. I want more.

So tonight I just about finished up on some vocal tracks for an acoustic song. It’s a song I recorded with my friend Tim at his apartment. I wrote the song forever ago, but finally started putting it all together when Tim and I were jamming. I’ll have a “ruff mix’ real soon, and I’ll put it up here. I have to say though, I believe that it is my best vocal work to date. That’s all I have to say about that.
